Notes from Arizona Golden Rescue

BUDDY 26-073 is available!

Buddy 26-073 is a gorgeous 8-month-old neutered male English Cream Golden Retriever. His foster family reports that he is very smart, friendly, easy-going, playful, and calm (most of the time unless he is playing). Buddy already knows several commands including Sit, Backup, Down, and does okay on Stay. He has only been around one child that was 10 years old. He has lived with other dogs but has never been around cats. Buddy will need supervision if anywhere around rocks, as he tends to pick them up in his mouth and has spit them out, but there is always a risk. He likes to run and needs an active family with hopefully another dog to keep him company and play with. Buddy is a hefty boy and could knock over small children or frail elderly adults.

If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other available AGR dogs, and want to know more about the process, please click here. Note: WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA. All potential fosters and adopters must fill out an application, pay an application fee and have a home visit in order to be considered for any dog.

  1. Contact Arizona Golden Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Arizona Golden Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
