Notes from Canine Rescue Coalition

Meet Sugar!

Sugar is just that — spun sugar sweet!

This beautiful 13-month-old female Cane Corso found herself at the Redlands shelter as a stray, and now she is ready for the forever home she deserves. Sugar is house trained, crate trained, and has wonderful house manners. She is a foster favorite, and her foster family is going to have a very hard time saying goodbye.

Sugar gets along with dogs of all sizes but prefers calmer, quieter dog friends. She is also cat friendly, making her a very special girl.

Sugar previously had her cherry eye tacked, but like many tack jobs, it unfortunately failed. AZ Mastiff Rescue will be removing it with a one-and-done surgery so she can move forward comfortably.

Everyone needs a little Sugar in their life — might she be yours?

What happens next

  1. Contact Canine Rescue Coalition using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Canine Rescue Coalition, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
