Notes from Out Of The Woods Dog Rescue and Referral
Do you have a tennis ball? If so, we are officially best friends! I was found wandering all alone on July 15th, but my amazing foster family took me in, and I have spent the last two weeks showing them what a dream girl I can be. If you love to play, I am the girl for you! I have completely mastered the art of fetch. I love my ball so much that I will proudly carry it over to you throughout the day to let you know I'm ready for a game. I’m a very smart pup who already knows all of my basic commands, and I walk beautifully on a leash without pulling. When it’s time for a reward, my foster mom says I am the sweetest, most gentle treat-taker she has ever seen! I am definitely a "velcro dog"—I love nothing more than being right next to you, soaking up all your affection. When you have to step away, I handle my downtime like a total champ in my guest bedroom retreat, especially if you leave some fun chew toys or DogTV streaming in the background for me! I can be a little sensitive to sudden, loud noises sometimes (a bird flew into the house the other day and gave me a big scare!), so I would love a patient, loving home that can keep helping me build my confidence. I’ve already been introduced to my foster sister (a spayed female dog) and we did wonderfully together! My foster mom says I showed zero aggression and behaved perfectly. I am super friendly, well-mannered, and so eager to fit right into your daily routine. I’ve been through a lot of changes lately, but I am finally ready to settle into my true forever home. Could it be with you?
