Notes from Out Of The Woods Dog Rescue and Referral

At 70 lbs and just 2 years old, I am a gorgeous Fawn-and-Black-Mask fellow. My foster family says I am the perfect mix of a playful adolescent and a well-mannered house companion! I take great pride in my house manners. I am fully house-trained and I have even learned to ring the bell on the door when I need to go outside! I already know "sit," "down," and a "sometimes stay," which just goes to show how eager I am to learn and please you. When it's time for dinner, I am a perfect gentleman and will never beg for your food. At night, I will happily cuddle up in my own dog bed on the floor right next to yours.

My Favorite ThingsPlaying Fetch: I absolutely love tracking down a ball and playing with my humans. Dog Buddies: I am fantastic with other dogs and love to play and romp with my canine foster siblings. Human Attention: I crave connection and just want to be part of the action with you.

I am a big, strong boy, so I still pull on my leash at times, though I am improving every single day with a little guidance. I can also get a little nervous during car rides, so I will prefer a family who can give me some reassurance on road trips. Because my smart brain gets bored or frustrated when I am left alone in my crate during the day, I do best with heavy-duty toys (like Kongs) to keep me occupied. If you are looking for a loyal, athletic, and house-trained companion who is ready to learn alongside you, I am your guy!
