Notes from Adopt-A-Stray

10/24 TaylorThis sweet little girl was found as a stray. We had hoped an owner would come forward to claim her, but no such luck. She is about 3 months old, and we think she is possibly australian shepherd mix. This little girl is so friendly and sweet, and full of life! She is great with other dogs, cats, kids, and goats. She is working on house training and leash manners, but still has a ways to go to have these mastered. But she's still a baby and has a lot to learn. She has great potential to be part of a family! She is spayed, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them on Saturdays in MD, PA, NJ, or CT To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.

What happens next

  1. Contact Adopt-A-Stray using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Adopt-A-Stray, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
