Notes from Adopt-A-Stray

10/17/26 WAIVED ADOPTION FEE!! Celeste cant stay in rescue forever, she really needs to find her forever home! Shes holding up a spot for others in need, plus she deserves a home of her own. PLEASE SHARE!! She's in New England. She needs to be the only pet in the home. It is VERY hard to find homes for dogs who need to be the only pet in the home. No dogs, no cats. She loves people!! She is all the things. A stunning beauty, heartwarmingly affectionate, and playfully mischievous in the most innocent way. She follows some basic commands such as sit, is house trained, and very food motivated. We do not know her breed. We only have her looks/size to go by. Great Dane, Catahoula, Lab? We dont know for sure but we do know shes a beauty! Shes about 80 pounds, one and a half years old. We have so many more pictures and videos but can only put 4 on this website. Please email us or visit our Facebook to see more pics and videos. Link to our facebook:https://www.facebook.com/adoptastrayrescueorg?mibextid=wwXIfr&mibextid=wwXIfrShe is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and is current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Located in New England. To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.

What happens next

  1. Contact Adopt-A-Stray using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Adopt-A-Stray, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
