Notes from Rose Acres Rescue

Meet Skye! Skye is a 5-year-old German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix with a heart as big as her smile! When she was first picked up by animal control, she weighed only 43 lbs — but with love and care, she’s now a healthy 55 lbs and ready to find her forever home.

This beautiful girl has a soft, medium-length coat and a gentle spirit. Though she’s still learning to trust and find her confidence, Skye absolutely thrives on praise and affection. She adores kids, enjoys spending time with cats, and is an all-around sweetheart once she feels safe.

Skye isn’t a fan of female dogs, so she’d do best as your only pup or with a calm male companion. She did lose part of her right ear and now sports a docked tail after an old scuffle, but don’t worry — it hasn’t slowed her down one bit!

Skye has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $250.

If you’re ready to give this resilient, loving girl the forever home she deserves, come meet Skye today — she’s waiting to steal your heart!
