PET DESCRIPTION: Carl Dean is a bulldog looking mix, male, 3 1/2 months-old as of mid-Oct, should be in the 50 lb range when fully grown. Found as a stray with his littermates, never reclaimed. Just a very loving and happy little dude looking for a family he can grow up and stay with.

DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch (and we register the chip at time of the adoption); certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter).

What happens next

  1. Contact The Humane Society of Elmore County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to The Humane Society of Elmore County, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
