Notes from Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue League

NEWBIE ALERT!!

Meet Avalon! This sweet girl was saved from a local overcrowded shelter. She’s a beautiful yellow lab mix. She is 1.8 years old and 41 lbs. She is playful and very sweet. Not overly hyper and very snuggly. Does well on a leash and in the car. She is great with other animals and doesn’t mind a crate. She’s getting settled into foster care and we will update her info as it comes. She is utd, spayed and ready for a home to call her own!

Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.

All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!

Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!

What happens next

  1. Contact Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue League using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue League, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
