Notes from Rose Acres Rescue

Meet DJ! DJ is a handsome 4-year-old Greyhound/Lab mix with long legs, a lean 50-lb frame, and the sweetest personality. He’s the most laid-back of his siblings and loves nothing more than being right by your side.

DJ is playful, food-motivated, and enjoys his toys (though sheets and tents don’t always stand a chance ). He does wonderfully with kids and cats, but would do best as the only male dog in the home. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped. and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $250.

DJ’s story is extra special. His mom was rescued from an abuse situation by animal control and gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies while in the pound. Thankfully, the whole family was brought to safety with the rescue, and now DJ is ready for a forever home of his own.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big heart and an easygoing spirit, DJ might just be your perfect match! ❤️

What happens next

  1. Contact Rose Acres Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Rose Acres Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
