Notes from Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue League
NEWBIE ALERT!!
Meet Dennis Hopper aka Dennie! This older boy has found himself at the city shelter and in need of a leg amputation. Poor dude has an old injury and has no use of his front leg and it’s dragging creating sores and infection. He is currently fighting a nasty upper respiratory infection so surgery had to be postponed until next week. Our guess is he’s 8-10 years old. He’s 33 lbs and a total lap pup. He loves all the snuggles and is great with other dogs. As soon as surgery is complete he will get settled into his foster home. He’s going to be the cutest tripod around and you don’t want to miss out on this boy. If you can open your home to this special senior pup… please fill out the app below. He’s utd, hw tested and will be neutered when his leg is amputated.
Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.
All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up.
Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Thank you!
