PET DESCRIPTION: Luna is a female Anatolian Shepherd, two years old, 87 lbs. She was surrendered for escaping their fence and wandering and also for killing chickens, birds and other small animals so definitely no cats and let's be safe and say no small dogs. She is a very loving dog, loved the children, likes squeaky toys. This big gal really wants to cuddle.

DOG ADOPTION FEE is $100. This Adoption fee includes: mandatory spay/neuter which will be done before you can take your dog or puppy home with you; basic canine immunizations (DHPP-CPV & Bordatella Intranasal); de-wormings; one-year rabies vaccination if old enough; heartworm test if over five months old; microchip from 24-Pet Watch (and we register the chip at time of the adoption); certificate for free health examination at your participating veterinarian; and a goodie bag chocked full of information, toys, and more. (If a dog is sponsored or has a waived or lower fee, that info will be provided at the point of adoption to the approved adopter). For more info: http://www.elmorehumane.org; E-mail: hselco@bellsouth.net; Phone: (334) 567-3377.

What happens next

  1. Contact The Humane Society of Elmore County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to The Humane Society of Elmore County, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the dogs care guide so you arrive prepared.
