Notes from Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue League

✨ UPDATE — MEET CLARA! ✨

This sweet momma has finally been given the chance to leave her life on the streets behind. ❤️

Clara spent years surviving outdoors and had multiple litters of puppies on the streets. After patiently working to get her to safety, we were finally able to trap this sweet girl — and now she is settling into foster care and learning what it means to be safe.

Clara is timid, which is completely understandable after everything she has been through, but she is becoming more comfortable every single day! She has shown absolutely no aggression and you can tell she truly wants love and attention — she just needs a patient family willing to give her the time she needs to trust. ❤️

ABOUT CLARA: ✨ Lab mix ✨ Approximately 3–4 years old ✨ 39 lbs. ✨ Calm and sweet ✨ Doing well in the house ✨ Does well in a crate ✨ Spayed ✨ Up to date on vaccinations ✨ Heartworm tested ✨ Ready for her FOREVER HOME!

Clara doesn’t need someone to rush her. She needs someone who will give her patience, love, consistency, and the opportunity to finally understand that she never has to survive on the streets again.

After spending so much of her life being a momma and simply trying to survive, it’s finally Clara’s turn to be somebody’s baby.

Our adoptions are NOT first come, first served, and there is no fee to apply. We never state that any animal is fully house-trained. New environments, families, situations, and routines can result in accidents, even with animals who have previously done well in a home.

ADOPTION FEE: $175

The adoption fee includes a vet check, age-appropriate vaccinations (at least two sets for puppies), deworming, heartworm testing if over 6 months old, rabies vaccination if at least 16 weeks old, and spay/neuter.

Wags & Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow our volunteers time to respond to inquiries and applications. We appreciate your patience and support! ❤️

PLEASE SHARE CLARA! She survived the streets, raised her babies, and made it to safety. Now it’s her turn to find HOME.
