Notes from Fairbanks North Start Borough Animal Control

Max (A140674) is a 1-year-1-month-old Labrador Retriever x AK Husky mix who weighed 52.6 pounds on intake! 10/26/26 Max arrived back at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for his new place to call home. He is a bundle of energy and would love to find a new active home! He does have a habit of jumping up, but it is because he is just so eager to say hi! We encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class to continue working on his manners! If you are interested in meeting Max, please let us know! 05/06/26 This handsome pupper is Max! Max arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for his new place to call home. He is a young pup looking for some guidance and love! He would benefit from attending a basic obedience class to learn a trick or two and work on his manners. Max has the lab energy and LOVE for food! Since he was a stray, we do not know his history with children or other animals. It is important to ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new friends to help set him up for success. Max is looking for a home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation – puzzle toys, walks, classes, etc. If you are interested in meeting Mr Max, please let us know!
