Notes from Humane Society of Burnett County

Magpie is a sweet 6-month-old kitten who is ready to find her forever home! After starting life as a stray, this loving little girl is showing everyone just how much affection she has to give. She’s a total snuggle bug who loves being close to her people and soaking up all the love and attention she can get. With her affectionate personality and love for cuddles, Magpie is sure to make a wonderful companion. She’s ready to trade her days on the streets for cozy naps, endless snuggles, and a family to call her own. If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All cats are spayed/neutered (deposit required if too young), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. HSBC has a policy of not declawing, which is included on our Adoption Contract. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the cat of your choice. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at: https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/

What happens next

  1. Contact Humane Society of Burnett County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Humane Society of Burnett County, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
