Notes from Humane Society of Portage County

Lagoon is a relaxed, laid-back guy who loves comfy beds and lots of cheek scratches! Lagoon likes to watch the world go by, and would love a home that allows him to quietly relax and unwind. A loud, active home might be a little too much for this slow-paced guy. Lagoon has spent time with other kitties and seems to do just fine, but he does tend to get jealous of other animals over people he trusts so he may do best as an only animal in his home. --- Lagoon is a 7-year-old short-hair male. His adoption fee is $55. If you are interested in adopting a cat from HSPC, please complete our adoption application. Approved applicants will be contacted within 3 working days for an appointment. We operate by appointment only. Our online application can be found at: https://hspcwi.org/adopt/ All cats adopted through HSPC are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FeLV & FIV tested, and receive core vaccinations (younger kittens may not be fully vaccinated due to age). If you have any questions or concerns, please email the Cat Adoption Manager at adoption@hspcwi.org We look forward to introducing you to your new cat!

What happens next

  1. Contact Humane Society of Portage County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Humane Society of Portage County, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
