Notes from Humane Society of Burnett County

When Mike first came into our care, he was feral, injured, terrified, and unsure of the people around him. He wasn’t a cat who immediately understood that hands could be gentle, people could be safe, or that he didn’t have to face everything alone anymore. On top of being frightened, Mike was dealing with a significant injury that ultimately required emergency surgery and extensive aftercare. His surgical site healed beautifully, his stitches have officially been removed, and somewhere along the way Mike made another pretty major decision: The feral life is no longer for him. Come meet the little fighter who had an entire community in his corner.

If you would like to meet me, please visit our website and complete the pre-adoption application. Once it has been processed then we can make a date to get together! All cats are spayed/neutered (deposit required if too young), vaccinated, dewormed, flea and tick treated, microchipped and more before adoption. Our adoption policies include: Application, Vet reference, Landlord approval & Criminal Background Check. HSBC has a policy of not declawing, which is included on our Adoption Contract. We do not do same day adoptions. We request that you call for an appointment after your application has been approved to come and visit the cat of your choice. Please visit our website for additional information. The online application can be found at: https://hsburnettcty.org/adoption-application/
