Notes from Humane Society of Portage County

Meet Pixie Dust! This beautiful little lady is quite the talker. She loves to let you know when she wants attention (which is all of the time). Pixie has a soft spot for people and enjoys getting all sorts of affection. Pixie prefers to be the only kitty in the home, and she's quite unsure about younger children. Pixie Dust has been diagnosed with diabetes. This is something that will require veterinary care in the future. She should have an established veterinarian ready to help keep her diabetes under control. The good news is that Pixie has been doing amazing! She is responding well to her treatment and is feeling better each day. Her adoption fee is waived. If you are interested in adopting a cat from HSPC, please complete our adoption application. Approved applicants will be contacted within 3 working days for an appointment. We operate by appointment only. Our online application can be found at: https://hspcwi.org/adopt/ All cats adopted through HSPC are spayed/neutered, microchipped, FeLV & FIV tested, and receive core vaccinations (younger kittens may not be fully vaccinated due to age). If you have any questions or concerns, please email the Cat Adoption Manager at adoption@hspcwi.org We look forward to introducing you to your new cat!

What happens next

  1. Contact Humane Society of Portage County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Humane Society of Portage County, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
