Notes from Regional Animal Services of King County

Hi! My name is Iris and I am available for adoption!

I am a shy kitty who is looking for a loving home. I am nervous around children but love adults. I would thrive if I went to a home with adults only. I would really adore a loving home that would give me the affection, time, and understanding to become my very sweetest kitty-self.

My foster home has a toddler, I did let him pet me a couple times on the first day I moved in. Once I warm up to you and the toddler isnt home, I do come out and play. I like to sit in my cat tree and look outside to the backyard. I come out at night and sleep with my humans, even with the toddler.

I'm currently in a foster home, please fill out a foster interest form for the chance to meet me! To find that form click the `read about our adoption process` link then `foster path` link!

What happens next

  1. Contact Regional Animal Services of King County using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Regional Animal Services of King County, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
