Notes from RappCats

Zoe is a beautiful torbie girl with a shy side and a very sweet heart. She may need a little extra time to feel comfortable, but underneath that cautious exterior is a lovely girl just waiting for the right person to help her blossom. Zoe is bonded with her best friend, Snuffleupagus, a very shy gray-and-white kitty who helps her feel safe. These two are looking for a patient, loving home where they can settle in together and build their confidence at their own pace. Sometimes the best kind of love comes with a little patience, and Zoe and Snuffleupagus are ready to find theirs!

We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application: https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159 Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org.

Can't adopt right now? RappCats is looking for a foster home for Zoe. Fostering is short-term, and the rescue usually covers food and vet care. Ask them about it.

What happens next

  1. Contact RappCats using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to RappCats, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
