Notes from RappCats

Meet Keeper!

Keeper is ready to find her forever home, and this girl is full of surprises! This beautiful white-and-brown tabby is curious, brave, sweet, and always ready for a little adventure. She’s playful and confident, and she’s comfortable around both dogs and other cats, making her a wonderful addition to a multi-pet household. Keeper loves exploring her world and discovering what fun awaits around the next corner.

But here’s the best part: Keeper has a brother named Striker, and these two would love to find a home together! Having a built-in best friend makes every adventure better, and Keeper would be thrilled to keep her brother by her side. Could you be the lucky human who gives these two siblings their happily-ever-after?

We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application: https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159 Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at 540-987-6050 or email us at adopt@rappcats.org.

What happens next

  1. Contact RappCats using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to RappCats, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
