Notes from Community Animal Welfare Society

Tyler absolutely LOVES toys! Interactive toys, lasers, and anything that moves are fascinating to him. He often watches from a safe distance, but when he gets brave enough to join in, his excitement is absolutely adorable! Playtime is a wonderful way to connect with him and help build his confidence. And here's a little secret about this semi-spicy boy: he gives kisses! Tyler occasionally surprises his foster mom with sweet kisses on her face and hands. Of course, these moments happen entirely on his terms, but they're wonderful glimpses of his affectionate side. Tyler must be adopted by an experienced, exceptionally patient adopter who understands shy, undersocialized, or formerly spicy kittens. He needs someone who will respect his boundaries, celebrate his small victories, and allow him to build trust at his own pace. Tyler must have a feline companion to help him feel secure and continue building his confidence. A friendly, confident resident cat would be a wonderful match, or he could be adopted alongside another compatible kitty. Tyler is selective about dogs but may do well with calm, respectful dogs after a slow, proper introduction. Because of his shy nature, if there are children in his home they should be 12 or older. What happens next

  1. Contact Community Animal Welfare Society using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Community Animal Welfare Society, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
