Notes from Community Animal Welfare Society

Rose is the three-legged sidekick you didn’t know you needed. Rose is a bundle of energy and entertainment. She might have less legs but it doesn’t slow her down. Rose loves pets and snuggles when she is calm but when she is in play mode there is no stopping her. Rose was born missing the bottom bone in one of her legs and instead has a paw pad and one toe on her elbow. It doesn’t seem to bother her and she loves to shake her little stump at you if food is taking too long. Rose can be a little shy sometimes but is extremely food motivated and looks to her sister Daisy when she is nervous. Rose is a bonded pair with her sister Daisy. In fact Daisy is missing a toe on the same foot that Rose has only one. Daisy helps Rose feel safe and they love to wrestle and snuggle. Rose must be adopted with her sister Daisy. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application

What happens next

  1. Contact Community Animal Welfare Society using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Community Animal Welfare Society, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
