Tanner
Domestic Short Hair / Mixed · Baby · Male · Medium · SLC, UT
Notes from Community Animal Welfare Society
Tanner is a handsome, adventurous little guy with a spunky personality and a sweet, affectionate side! While he can be very shy around unfamiliar people, once he learns to trust you, he absolutely loves cuddles and lots of scratches. Tanner is a confident little explorer who enjoys checking out his surroundings. He's also a HUGE fan of mealtime! Whether it's kibble or wet food, Tanner is always first in line when food is served. Tanner prefers to build trust at his own pace. He's not particularly fond of being picked up, especially before he knows you well, and prefers to be the one to approach when he's ready for affection. Once he decides it's cuddle time, though, he's more than happy to soak up the love! Moving into a new home will likely be intimidating for Tanner at first. He'll need a patient, understanding family willing to give him the time and space to settle in and show off his wonderful personality. Tanner MUST have a feline companion to help him feel secure and continue building his confidence. A friendly, confident resident cat would be a wonderful match, or he could be adopted alongside another compatible kitty. Tanner is selective about dogs but can do well with calm, respectful dogs after a proper introduction. Because of his shy nature, if there are children in his home, 12 or older will be best/ If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application
