Notes from West Valley Animal Services
Winnie is the adventurer of the Sanderson Sisters! She’s usually the first one out the door when given the chance to explore, whether there’s a new room to investigate, a cat tree to conquer, or an adult cat to meet. She is very interested in the adult cats in her foster home and loves seeing what they’re up to. Winnie may be brave about exploring, but she has her own very expressive way of communicating with humans: expect plenty of hisses and adorable airplane ears while she decides how she feels about you! Underneath all that sass is a curious little girl who continues to get braver every day. Winnie is still learning to trust people and will need a patient adopter who understands that her hisses don’t necessarily mean “go away,” they’re just part of how she communicates when she’s unsure. She would love to be adopted with her sisters, Mary and Sarah, but she would also thrive with another kitten or friendly, playful cat, especially one who can help show her the ropes. Give Winnie the freedom to explore and the time to trust you on her own terms, and watching her confidence grow will be part of the fun.
