Notes from Dallas Pets Alive

As cats go, Nova can brag that she's a little bit of everything. She's playful and curious, but she's also independent and easy-going at times. She's litter box trained and uses her scratching post, but she also enjoys being the center of attention.

Her favorite toy is all of them. Nova will spend hours playing, moving from one toy to another. Sometimes she'll play with people but sometimes she'll keep herself entertained. She'll squeeze in a quick nap when she's ready and then get back to the fun. She's also recently discovered the joy of sitting in a window and bird watching.

She'll wave hello with her paw, and her personality is spunky and sparkly! While she's still awaiting her first face-to-face interaction with other cats and dogs, Nova's curiosity to the sounds and activity she hears makes her optimistic that they will love her. How can they not? She's got it all!

All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for cats over six months to seven years is $100, kittens under six months is $150, cats eight years and over are $50 unless specified otherwise. You can view all the adoptable pets and fill out an adoption application online on our website at http://dallaspetsalive.org/adopt/adoptable-cats/ . What happens next

  1. Contact Dallas Pets Alive using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Dallas Pets Alive, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
