Named Practical Magic after the beloved movie—and in honor of the mysterious black cat that perfectly fits its witchy world—this gorgeous boy looks like he stepped right out of a spellbook. If we had to compare him to a breed, we’d say he most closely resembles an all-black Turkish Angora, with a beautiful, elegant build and incredibly soft, silky fur. Pictures simply don’t capture how luxurious his coat feels. But Practical Magic didn’t grow up knowing that human hands meant love. He came to us from the streets, where being cautious helped keep him safe. Because of that, he isn't the kind of cat who wants a stranger to immediately reach out and pet him. He needs to know you first. He needs to trust you. Give him that time, and you'll begin to see the real cat underneath that cautious exterior. Practical Magic is looking for someone who understands that some of the most special relationships with cats aren't instantaneous—they're earned. Let him observe you. Talk to him. Give him treats. Let him decide when he's ready to come closer. Every little step forward means something because he chose to trust you. Cats with Turkish Angora-like personalities are often described as intelligent, curious and deeply connected to the people they choose. Practical Magic has that same wonderfully observant quality.
