Notes from Siamese Oriental Snowshoe Cat Rescue and Rehoming

MEET REX. HE’S STILL WAITING. Rex has been waiting. And waiting. And waiting. He’s watched a TON of cats come through SOS, make friends, find their people… and leave. He’s been with our SOS assistant director since he was a tiny kitten, so he’s seen a lot of cats get their turn. But Rex? He’s still waiting for his. At about 6 months old and already 8 pounds, Rex is a big boy with the gentlest soul. He’s also a total scaredy cat. Loud noises? GONE. The shower turns on? GONE. The patio door opens? Absolutely GONE.But what Rex lacks in bravery, he makes up for in being incredibly sweet, gentle, and well behaved. And the really great thing about Rex? He’s wonderfully low-maintenance. No cord chewing. No scratching. No chaos. He’s just a sweet, easygoing boy who does great with other cats. A perfect companion for any home of anyone looking for a feline friend for your cat. He loves to play, get pets, and be around his people. And once he gets to know you and feels safe? He’s a lap cat. Neutered and up to date on shots.
