Notes from Dallas Cat Rescue dba Cat Matchers
Lexi once had a home she thought was forever. At 11 years old, she’s hoping to find that promise again.
Meet Lexi (AMC-114-17), DOB 7/29/15, a gentle senior who has plenty of love left to give.
Lexi first came to Cat Matchers when she was about two years old. After raising her kittens and watching them find loving homes, she found a family of her own. For years, she was loved and cherished. Sadly, unforeseen circumstances meant her family could no longer keep her. Through no fault of her own, Lexi is looking for a home again.
Her wish list is simple: a cozy blanket, a tall cat tree, a sunny window, a quality cat tree, a soft bed at the foot of yours, and someone who enjoys quiet company.
Lexi is comfortable meeting new people as long as they respect her boundaries and keep things calm. Head scratches and gentle chin rubs earn enthusiastic purrs! She also knows when she’s had enough petting and will let you know her preferences. A lady is allowed her boundaries.
Calm and independent, Lexi is comfortable entertaining herself while you’re busy. She enjoys batting a toy around, watching the world outside, or simply relaxing nearby. She would make a lovely companion for someone who appreciates a peaceful presence without a constant demand for attention.
Lexi would be happiest as the only cat in a quiet home without young or rowdy children. She can tolerate respectful children, but a calm household would help her feel most comfortable.
Her foster mom does have one small confession: Lexi once considered unattended dinner plates an invitation to sample the menu. She seems to have mostly retired from her “food critic” career, but you might want to keep an eye on your supper!
Lexi is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and negative for FeLV and FIV.
She has already known the comfort of belonging—and the heartbreak of losing it. Somewhere, there’s a person whose quiet days would feel a little warmer with Lexi beside them.
