Notes from Cat Around Town Project

Hi, I’m Filibuster — and I’d like to take the floor.

I’m a gorgeous Nebelung girl with a very important agenda: MORE ATTENTION. I’m not interested in filibustering legislation — I’m here to filibuster your personal space until you give me pets. And trust me, I have absolutely no intention of yielding the floor.

Pick me up? Perfect. Pet me? Even better. Keep holding and petting me for as long as humanly possible? Now we’re talking. I’m an absolute attention hog, and I will happily follow you around the house like your very fluffy little shadow to make sure you don’t accidentally forget about me.

I’m also what you might call a belly-up kind of girl. I love rolling around, showing off my magnificent tummy, and generally making sure everyone appreciates the floof. Belly-up is my favorite sleeping position, because why sleep like a normal cat when you can sleep like you’ve completely surrendered to the good life?

Now for the important stuff: I’m FIV+, but PLEASE don’t let those three little letters scare you away! I’m perfectly healthy, happy, and ready to live my best life. FIV+ cats can absolutely live with other kitties, so my status doesn’t mean I have to be an only child. ❤️

I would, however, prefer a home without dogs. I have reviewed the canine agenda and respectfully voted NO.

So, if you’re looking for a gorgeous, affectionate, belly-flopping, attention-demanding Nebelung who will follow you around and happily occupy your lap for hours, I’m ready to take the floor — and your heart.

Just a warning: once I’m in your lap, the Filibuster may never end.

  1. Contact Cat Around Town Project using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Cat Around Town Project, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
