Notes from Cat Around Town Project

Hello! I’m Pip — I’m a sweet, shy little nugget who prefers calm environments and slow introductions. If you move too fast, I’ll jump like I’m avoiding lasers on a spy mission. Very dramatic. Very graceful.

I adore other cats and am getting used to dogs… slowly… cautiously… like a Victorian lady fainting at surprises. Once I trust you, I’m a total lovebug who purrs like an engine with zero off-switch.

Fair warning: when I decide it's time for your attention, I can be delightfully persistent. If you're not paying me enough mind, I'll come weave between your feet and give your legs little licks until you remember that I exist. Consider it my gentle reminder that your affection quota is due.

I’m not a high-energy chaos gremlin—I prefer quiet snuggles, gentle pets, and definitely no grabby hands. So, homes with kids? Hard pass.

If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate kitten with a soft soul, a big heart, and just enough sass to make sure you never forget cuddle time, I’m your girl—Pip, the purr-fect little wallflower.

What happens next

  1. Contact Cat Around Town Project using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Cat Around Town Project, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
