Notes from Forgotten Cats, Inc.

Meet Van Gogh (FeLV+) - Your Handsome Little House Panther!

This sleek, shiny black bundle of cuteness is a total purr bug! At 1–2 years old, Van Gogh is a loving, laid-back boy who adores snuggling close to his foster mom. His gentle nature brings a sense of calm wherever he goes, but don't let that relaxed personality fool you — he has a playful side, too!

One of Van Gogh's very favorite things is playtime with his fellow FeLV+ friends, Matisse and Picasso. These 3 boys enjoy each other's company and would all love a home where they can feel safe, loved, and cherished.

Van Gogh has tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV). FeLV is a virus that affects a cat's immune system and can make them more susceptible to certain illnesses. Although there is currently no cure, many FeLV+ cats can enjoy a good quality of life with proper care, regular veterinary visits, and lots of love.

FeLV is spread primarily through close contact between cats, therefore Van Gogh should live with other FeLV+ cats or as the only cat in the home. He has not been around dogs to our knowledge, but he may do well with a cat-friendly pup if introductions are slow and appropriate.

This sweet boy deserves a loving home where he can snuggle, play, and enjoy life to the fullest. Please don't let his FeLV+ status overshadow the wonderful companion he can be!

Van Gogh and his FeLV+ friends, Matisse and Picasso, are playing with their foster family. Please ask about them!

Please submit our no-obligation Adoption Application for a meet and greet or to adopt: https://forgottencats.org/adoption-application/ . Thank you! (Foster: Rachel B.)
