Notes from Loving Care Cat Rescue

Have you heard about Ube, the purple yam? Its all the rage now-Ube cakes, pancakes, donuts, ice cream and all kinds of sweets! Well, we have the feline version of that ready to join your loving home!

Ube was born in March 2026. He came to Loving Care Cat Rescue through a TNR project in Reading, PA along with his adorable sister Taro. A calm and gentle soul, he loves being with his sister and plays well with all the other foster cats and kittens.

He is currently living at a foster home in York, PA. Ubes adoption donation is $135 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and neuter. Ube is neutered and Felv fiv negative.

If you would like more information on Ube, please contact Debbie at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. To fill out an online application, please visit https://lovingcarecatrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/. Please note: LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed. All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets.

What happens next

  1. Contact Loving Care Cat Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Loving Care Cat Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
