Notes from Cat's Cradle Rescue

Pauly has been let down by people in the worst way, but somehow he is still one of the sweetest boys you could ever hope to meet.

Pauly, now 4 years old, once had a home, but his people removed his collar, moved away, and left him behind. For nearly three years, he survived on the streets with the help of a kind neighbor who made sure he had food. When Pauly became terribly sick, we stepped in to help. That first night, we weren't sure he would survive. But Pauly wasn't ready to give up, and thankfully, neither were we!

After several vet visits, we learned that Pauly is FIV-positive (feline immunodeficiency virus), which means his immune system needs a little extra care. He has also had all his teeth removed, so wet food needs to be his main diet. He currently enjoys American Journey canned chicken with FortiFlora probiotic and L-lysine added. He may also be able to eat a little Nulo kitten kibble because the pieces are so small, but only as a supplement.

Now for the best part about Pauly—he absolutely loves his people! After spending so long having to fend for himself, he is happiest when he has someone to love and doesn't have to share that attention with other cats. Life on the streets taught him to be tough around other cats, so Pauly needs to be your one and only feline companion.

It breaks our hearts to think about everything this sweet boy has been through. He had a home once, lost it through no fault of his own, and spent years just trying to survive. Yet he still trusts people and welcomes their affection.

Pauly is located in Salem, Oregon. He is indoor-only, and his adoption fee is $100.

For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Your information will be forwarded to the foster parent for follow-ups and meeting arrangement.

Cat's Cradle is an all-volunteer, non-profit foster-home based rescue serving Oregon cats who need new homes. 100% of your adoption fee goes to provide for the medical and physical needs of the cats in our care. We invite you to become a foster parent and experience the great satisfaction of helping a cat or kitten in need.
