Notes from Humane Society of Lawton Comanche County

COOKIE - F, DSH, Brown Tabby, approximately 1 year old. Meet Cookie Cat Caren, the originator of the resting kitty face! She looks disgruntled and looks like she’s going to ask for the manager or tell little kittens to get the fluff off her lawn. The scowl is because she’s been made fun of for her meow, she sounds like she swallowed a duck call! She’s so embarrassed by it, she now has a permanent scowl from being asked if her father was a duck. Despite the RCF, she’s actually very loving, playful, and affectionate. The constant stream of duck call meowing is her trying to tell everyone she’s a sweet and a fun cat and not just another cat Caren. Once people quit mistaking her for a cat/water fowl hybrid, she’s very playful and will lay next to you for pets. She gets along with other cats who don’t make fun of her, but hasn’t been exposed to dogs. She is litter box trained, spayed, FELV/FIV negative, and vaccinated. If you like things that are multipurpose, please stop by Petsmart at 1806 NW 82nd St to adopt Cookie. Your love will help her drop the Caren from her name, she will give you lots of lively conversation and affection, and she can tell the neighborhood misbehaving kittens to get off your lawn and to fluff off. Please don’t be surprised if the occasional duck lands at your front door, claiming to be her dad.
