Notes from Paws and Prayers

Introducing Alaia! Alaia is 1–2 years young, a sweet, curious girl with a personality that's becoming more adorable by the day! She's the kind of kitty who likes to check things out, see what you're up to, and decide when it's time to join in. She's still getting comfortable with being petted, but she's making progress and showing us more of her charming personality every day. And don't think for a second that Alaia doesn't know how to get your attention! When this girl wants some love, she'll happily announce it to the world. She's got opinions, she's got a voice, and she's not afraid to use it. Alaia would be happiest in a calm, adult-only home where she can enjoy life at her own pace. She's not much for crowds, noisy environments, or busy little kiddos. A peaceful home with someone who appreciates her independent spirit would be just her style. A little curiosity, a little conversation, and a whole lot of personality waiting to shine! Alaia’s adoption fee is $145.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org

Paws and Prayers cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litter box trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them, and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.

Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.

What happens next

  1. Contact Paws and Prayers using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Paws and Prayers, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
