Jett
Domestic Short Hair (short coat) · Adult (4 years 11 months) · Male · Woodsfield, OH
Notes from Crossed Paws Animal Shelter
Jett has quite the unique story. He originally came to the shelter with another cat and immediately shut down and would stay in hiding and let no one touch him. So, we had a volunteer who lived close take him and had him live outside there.
A couple months later we noticed a black cat in the woods behind the shelter hanging around. He kept his distance but, eventually he started meowing and getting closer for us to realize it was Jett! He made his way back to the shelter and decided he just wanted to hang around outside. So, for the last year we have been providing shelter and feeding/watering him and he has been very content.
Then, Kelli (another black cat) was also being taken care of outside and those two have BONDED immensely. They would always greet us outside to get love and affection before we entered the shelter.
We had an interesting event occur so then we had to bring Jett and Kelli inside. We were worried how Jett was going to react. Luckily, Jett has adjusted well and will crawl into your lap and would be content to stay there all day. He also, jumps up and will place his two front paws on your leg or even on your chest and rub his face against your face. He will also jump into your lap while you are sitting on the toilet using the restroom!
We now think Jett is a 100% adoptable cat who is extremely loving and are relisting him. We also hope he could be adopted with Kelli.
