Notes from Rose's Rescue
Meet Velma! Velma was rescued with her kittens while very ill and in desperate need of care. She faced a long road to recovery, but with lots of TLC from her foster family, Velma has made an incredible comeback and is now thriving. After everything she has been through, this sweet girl is ready to find a loving home of her own!
Velma can be shy with new people and will need a patient, understanding family willing to give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Once she warms up and learns she can trust you, her sweet personality begins to shine. Velma does well with other cats and may benefit from having a feline friend to help her feel comfortable and confident. Because she can be timid and may hide when she feels overwhelmed, a home without young children may be the best fit for her. More than anything, Velma needs someone who understands that building trust can take time and is willing to let her settle in at her own pace!
Velma's adoption fee of $50 includes a negative test for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), spay surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, topical flea prevention, and a microchip. She is about 2 years old.
