Notes from Paws and Prayers

Meet Kitten Word, 10–12 weeks young and full of opinions… most of which are probably about why playtime should never end. Word is a sweet, playful little guy who enjoys toys, wrestling, exploring and keeping himself right in the middle of the action. He’s curious, energetic and always ready for his next kitten adventure. He gets along great with other cats and is not bonded to his siblings. But if you adopt two, they can keep each other entertained while you attempt to get some actual work done. No guarantees. Word’s adoption fee is $145.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org

Paws and Prayers kittens are spayed/neutered, have received at least two vaccines (adopter responsible for third kitten booster and rabies), have had a littermate or themselves FIV/FeLV tested, dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litterbox trained unless otherwise noted. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.

Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.

What happens next

  1. Contact Paws and Prayers using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Paws and Prayers, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
