Notes from Colony Cats (& dogs)

DOB: 6/3/2014

Name: Addie

Age: Senior Royalty

Vibe: Professional Pampered Queen & Chin-Scratch Enthusiast

Don’t let her frail frame fool you —Addie is a resilient, spunky survivor who has officially left her shelter days behind and is ready to reign over a quiet home of her own!

Addie is proof that age is just a number and toothless cats hold all the power. Since coming into foster care, she has blossomed into a hilarious, affectionate, and opinionated girl who knows exactly what she wants out of life. She is an absolute DREAMBOAT!!

Her Favorite Things:

The Fine-Toothed Comb & Chin Scratches: Because older cats can struggle with self-grooming, daily comb sessions have become her ultimate spa ritual. Melt her heart with a gentle brush and a good chin scratch, and her purr motor will run non-stop! She will groom you as you groom her!

A Feast Fit for a Queen: Addie eats Royal Canin Gastro. She has a very sensitive stomach and her diet should not be changed.

Sleeping on the Big Bed: Nighttime is her favorite. Once given the freedom of the house, she immediately claimed the human bed as her official night kingdom, curling up for peaceful, cozy sleep.....on your pillow!

Her Boundaries & Ideal Home:

Four Paws on the Floor: Addie carries a little trauma from her past and is scared of being picked up (she associates it with being placed in a cage). That being said, you can pick her up without issue, she just doesn't prefer it.

Single-Cat or Low-Key Household: Addie currently lives alongside young resident cats, foster kittens, a dog, and even a bunny, maintaining a polite, drama-free truce with everyone. However, her true dream is a quiet, calm home where she can relax in peace without high-energy pets bothering her. She would excel as a cherished solo pet or with another quiet senior animal.

All she wants to do is lay on your lap or beside you while you watch TV.

Addie has been through so much transition, but seeing her transform from an exhausted shelter cat into a comfortable queen who loves her pampered routine has been pure magic. If you have a soft spot for gentle seniors, quiet spaces, and a cat with a huge heart, Addie is waiting for you!
