Notes from Paws and Prayers

Meet Kitten AJ! AJ is 10–12 weeks young and still learning that humans might actually be pretty okay. He’s currently considered semi-feral, so he’ll need a patient, cat-savvy adopter who understands that trust won’t happen overnight. AJ is looking for a quieter home where he can settle in at his own pace and continue working on his social skills. No dogs or young children for this little guy, too much activity would be overwhelming while he’s figuring out the whole “living with humans” thing. AJ gets along with other cats and would benefit from having a friendly feline companion in his new home to help him feel comfortable and show him the ropes. AJ’s adoption fee is $145.00. Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org

Paws and Prayers kittens are spayed/neutered, have received at least two vaccines (adopter responsible for third kitten booster and rabies), have had a littermate or themselves FIV/FeLV tested, dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litterbox trained unless otherwise noted. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.

Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.

What happens next

  1. Contact Paws and Prayers using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Paws and Prayers, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
