Notes from Rose's Rescue

Meet Lucy! Lucy was rescued with her brother, Linus, who she absolutely adores. The two kittens were found living under a porch on their own. Lucy is shy with new people but will come running for treats! She is curious and calm but also loves to romp and play with Linus and their foster siblings. Once Lucy feels safe with someone, her sweet and playful nature begins to shine. We think she will really blossom in a home where she can be the princess and get lots of attention!

Like most young kittens, Lucy would be happiest in a home with feline companionship, so her ideal home will already have another friendly cat or be interested in adopting her with her brother, Linus (this is preferred). Lucy has not yet met dogs but should adjust well to respectful canine friends. She is being fostered in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and is about 7 months old.

Lucy’s adoption fee of $100 includes a negative test for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), spay surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, topical flea prevention, and a microchip. If adopted with her brother, Linus, the adoption fee for the pair is $150.

For those viewing on Petfinder, please apply by clicking "More About Rose's Rescue," where you can complete an adoption application. You may also apply directly through the Rose's Rescue website under "Fees - Adoption Info - Online Application."

Thank you for considering adoption—our adoptable cats can't wait to meet you!

What happens next

  1. Contact Rose's Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Rose's Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
