Notes from Rose's Rescue

Meet Linus! This handsome, majestic boy is a quieter soul who tends to stay out of the chaos of the other kittens, but don't let that fool you! He likes to keep an eye on what's going on and will follow his foster mom around the room from the tops of crates and cat trees, patiently waiting for her to notice him and give him some attention. If she's too distracted, he'll even give her a gentle little tap to say, "Hey, look, I'm right here!" Linus is the biggest of all the kittens in the room, even though they're all very close in age. He loves his sister Lucy, and the two can often be found wrestling and playing together.

Like most young kittens, Linus would be happiest in a home with feline companionship, and his ideal home would be one where he can be adopted with his sister, Lucy. Linus has not yet met dogs but should adjust well to respectful canine friends. He is being fostered in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and is about 7 months old.

Linus' adoption fee of $100 includes a negative test for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, topical flea prevention, and a microchip. If adopted with his sister, Lucy, the adoption fee for the pair is $150.

For those viewing on Petfinder, please apply by clicking "More About Rose's Rescue," where you can complete an adoption application. You may also apply directly through the Rose's Rescue website under "Fees - Adoption Info - Online Application."

Thank you for considering adoption—our adoptable cats can't wait to meet you!

What happens next

  1. Contact Rose's Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Rose's Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
