Notes from Sweet Dream House Rescue

Does gorgeous young HAZEL know she's a cat? Unclear. She's a petite green-eyed beauty with a tabby and white coat, currently about 10 months old and fully grown. Hazel is a playful girl who loves people. She loves playtime with people, cuddles with people, sleeping with people. You get the picture. Other cats? Not so much. She cannot relate to those other felines, she just wants humans. Hazel came to us after giving birth to a litter of kittens while she was still a kitten herself. She's so over motherhood and other cats, now she just wants her toys, her soft bed, a cat tree and people to love. If you're looking for a one and only cat, Hazel would love to be your girl. If you'd like to meet Hazel, please fill out a cat adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a meet with an approved adopter! You can also meet Hazel at our weekly adoption event every Saturday 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at PetSmart Eastgate. Our cats are fully vetted and we require indoor-only homes. All other pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and up-to-date on all vaccines. We will not send cats to home where they will be declawed as it is a harmful practice that can cause lifelong physical and behavioral problems. Our cats are all spayed/neutered, vaccinated, combo tested, dewormed, and microchipped.

Can't adopt right now? Sweet Dream House Rescue is looking for a foster home for Hazel. Fostering is short-term, and the rescue usually covers food and vet care. Ask them about it.

What happens next

  1. Contact Sweet Dream House Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Sweet Dream House Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
