Notes from Paws and Prayers

Meet Kitten Cargo! Cargo is around 4 months young, and this former shy guy has really come out of his shell!

His brother Trousers has been adopted, and Cargo has been busy growing up, gaining confidence, and showing everyone just how social and outgoing he can be. He’s playful, curious, and always ready to see what’s going on—especially if food is involved.

Cargo loves chasing toys, playing, exploring, and, of course, enjoying his wet food. That famous little gravy nose may still make an appearance after mealtime!

He’s come such a long way from the timid little kitten he once was and is ready to find a forever family of his own.

Cargo’s adoption fee is $145.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org

Paws and Prayers kittens are spayed/neutered, have received at least two vaccines (adopter responsible for third kitten booster and rabies), have had a littermate or themselves FIV/FeLV tested, dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litterbox trained unless otherwise noted. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.

Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.

What happens next

  1. Contact Paws and Prayers using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Paws and Prayers, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
