Notes from Rose's Rescue

Meet Snowball! This handsome 5-year-old fella is searching for a new home through no fault of his own. His previous owner's child became allergic to him. Snowball is shy around new people, but he is very affectionate, cuddly, and chatty once he warms up. He loves to jump on your shoulders and wrap around your neck. Snowball's owners told us that he even comes when his name is called!

Snowball loves laser pointers and sitting on windowsills to watch the world go by. He is looking for a patient adopter who will give him space and a quiet place to decompress while he settles into a new home. He will definitely be stressed for the first couple of days. He hissed, hid, and swatted for several days when he first came to his foster home, but he started to warm up once he realized he was safe and could trust his foster family.

Snowball was always the only animal in his previous home. He has learned in his foster home that he doesn't mind other quiet cats, but he would love to continue being the only pet and star of the show.

Snowball was neutered when he came to us. His adoption fee of $50 covers the cost of his FIV/FeLV test, microchip, and updated vaccines .

What happens next

  1. Contact Rose's Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Rose's Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
