Notes from Paws and Prayers

Meet Mooney, a 2–3-year-old sweetheart with a heart made of marshmallows. She’s a little shy at first, but once she feels safe, she blossoms into the cuddliest, goofiest lovebug. Mooney lives for cozy naps, soft affection, and stealing hearts one slow blink at a time. She’d be happiest in a peaceful home without young kids or dogs, where she can relax and be adored. Give her patience and a little love, and she’ll give you all of hers. Mooney's adoption fee is $145.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org

Paws and Prayers cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litter box trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them, and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.

Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.

What happens next

  1. Contact Paws and Prayers using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
  2. They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
  3. Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Paws and Prayers, never to AdoptNearby.
  4. Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
