Notes from Rose's Rescue
Meet Guppy! This handsome man was trapped from a feral colony for TNR, but our volunteers knew he had too much potential to go back outside. Guppy's foster mom has been working hard with him and he has learned to love treats and to not be so scared. Guppy adores other cats and loves to romp and play with his foster siblings.
Guppy also lives with a dog in his foster home and has done well with her.
At about one year old, Guppy has lots of kitten energy but is also happy to chill out on the couch. He will lay on the couch with his foster mom, but does not often want to be in her lap or getting pets. He is VERY shy around new people and will likely always hide when strangers are at his house. Guppy will require a patient adopter willing to give him time to adjust to his new home, and who will understand that he may never be a confident lap cat.
Guppy's adoption fee of $50 includes
negative test for Feline Leukemia (FELV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), neuter surgery, feline leukemia, FVRCP, and Rabies vaccines,
de-worming, topical flea protection, and a microchip.

- Contact Rose's Rescue using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.
- They will send you their application or ask a few questions about your home.
- Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Rose's Rescue, never to AdoptNearby.
- Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
