Notes from Paws and Prayers
My name is Lucinda. I have lived at my foster mom's house for a year now. I was very scared for a while and wouldn't come out from under the bed. My foster mom was patient and eventually I warmed up to her. She comes and reads in my room and now I sit on her lap and get lots of pets and scritches. I am a talky girl who loves food, so I am a little on the chonky side. I am looking for a single person to be my emotional support human. I could really use your help in finding my person. If you aren't my person, will you pass my information on to friends and family who might be able to help me. I have been waiting patiently for a long time! My adoption fee is $145.00 Please complete a non-obligatory application at www.pawsandprayers.org
Paws and Prayers cats are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested (neg), dewormed, current on flea/tick prevention, and microchipped at the time of adoption. They are litter box trained unless otherwise noted. Please be aware we do not walk around standing & holding our shelter cats - this is unnatural to them, and we like to keep them as comfortable as possible. Please read the entire bio before emailing the foster with questions. Meet and greets are not arranged unless an adoption application is filled out and approved and are by appointment only.
Inquiries submitted through Petfinder or other third-party websites do not submit as applications in our database.

What happens next
- Contact Paws and Prayers using the button. AdoptNearby does not take applications.

- Most organizations arrange a meet, sometimes a home visit, then a small adoption fee that usually covers spay or neuter and vaccines. That fee is paid to Paws and Prayers, never to AdoptNearby.
- Read the cats care guide so you arrive prepared.
