Notes from Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition, Inc.

Pagoda is a beautiful sweet girl! Having come from a hoarding situation, she is very shy, but learning to come out of her shell. She’s most active and curious at night, exploring the whole apartment and leaving no corner un-sniffed. She’s very food-motivated, licking the plate clean every time and licking Churu off her foster's hand. Around humans, she still gets a little scared. But every night, she claims the pillow where her foster sits, a small sign she’s learning to love.

She’ll do the best with a patient adopter who is willing to take the time to let her blossom. She’s not the cuddliest (not yet!) but coming out of her shell day-by-day.

Pagoda is FeLV+ and needs to be adopted as a single cat or with another feline leukemia positive companion. Cats that are FeLV+ can live normal and healthy lives when provided with quality care such as a balanced diet and yearly wellness exam, however most likely their lifespans will be shorter than other cats. We’d be happy to talk more about this!
